Guido van Rossum on Tulip

Guido van Rossum, Python’s Benevolent Dictator for Life, gave an excellent talk about Tulip to San Francisco’s Python Users’ Group. Tulip is the present and future of asynchronous I/O in Python and which has been included in Python 3.4.

In this presentation, Guido discusses the reasoning behind much of Tulip’s design and how it abstracts away the differences between Windows and *nix asynchronous I/O.
