I really hope that things like Svelte and lit-html will take off and hit the mainstream in the end.

React has played a huge role in the adoption of the component-based approach to web apps development, it taught us a lot but it needs to step down. And I don’t believe that the successor is Vue.js, I think Svelte or lit-html is the next thing but those need some time and a little bit of marketing push.

Once Svelte 3 drops, I’m going to give it a go on some changelog.com components and might livestream the experiment on our Twitch channel if anyone is interested.
