k6 describes itself as “like unit testing, for performance.” It’s an open source tool that can be run locally or on their cloud. The company behind the tool was recently acquired by Grafana, so the project is now a Grafana Labs thing. You write your scripts in JavaScript and they run on a Go backend engine.
